Christmas Market at Sønderborg Castle

The Christmas market at Sønderborg Castle runs from 4 to 6 December 2026. In front of the castle and in the castle courtyard, you'll find spruce trees, red Christmas bows, and a large Christmas tree, with Father Christmas visiting over the days.

Over 80 exhibitors are spread across tents on the forecourt, in the castle courtyard, and in the castle's historic halls, with stalls selling Christmas decorations and food. The castle's own exhibitions are open to visitors.

This year the castle opens two new rooms for children and families: "The Duke's Wardrobe" and "The Children's Workshop", where you can dress up in ducal costumes and cut Danish and German Christmas decorations.
