The building was inaugurated on 15 January 2005 by Queen Margrethe II, designed by architect Henning Larsen and funded as a gift to the Danish people by Mærsk Mc-Kinney Møller. It has two stages - Store Scene and Takkelloftet - and hosts opera, ballet and concerts throughout the season.

About: London Symphonic Rock Orchestra

Twelve classically trained players strip back rock's most iconic songs and rebuild them for full orchestra, performed live inside a candlelit fantasy-forest stage set. LSRO returns to Denmark in October 2026 with a brand-new programme.
