Writing Workshop: Writing Fantasy

Fairy tales are the foundation of all fantasy - and the starting point for this workshop with author Josefine Ottesen. She shares the working method she uses herself and shows how she builds her stories from the basic structure of fairy tales. Participants will have time to write during the workshop.

The workshop is held in the Othello room at Christianshavn Library. From the entrance, follow the right wall through the library space and turn at the first corner - Othello is a side room along the right side. Bring paper and writing materials; there are no computers available, and desk space is very limited, so expect to work with materials in your lap. The library can lend you a writing board. There is a coffee machine in the library area, but bring your own drinks.

The workshop is for adults, lasts two hours, and is free. Registration is via Billetto.

Josefine Ottesen has written fantasy novels, picture books, audiobooks, and plays for children and young people. She is the creator of the series "Krigeren", "Det døde land", and "Eventyret om fjeren og rosen", and has received the Danish Ministry of Culture's Children's Book Prize multiple times.
