The Imaginarium is improvisation theatre's experimental playground in Copenhagen, where local improvisers gather to test new formats, unusual ideas, and unexpected collaborations for the very first time.

You might see a short one-minute show, a silent mystery performance, live art, strange characters - or something that doesn't yet have a name.

The Imaginarium is primarily created for the improv community, but curious audiences are warmly welcome to support new work and the development of improvisation as an art form in Copenhagen.

About the venue: Lygten Station

Lygten Station in Copenhagen's NV district is a listed building from 1906, designed by railway architect Heinrich Wenck as the terminus of the private Copenhagen-Slangerup line. The station closed in 1976 and had various uses before reopening as a cultural venue in 2008. Today it has three stages and hosts concerts, stand-up comedy, theatre, film screenings and art exhibitions; rooms can also be hired for cultural events.
