Writing Workshop: Fantasy
Nørrebro Bibliotek, Copenhagen · Free
A writing workshop for adults with Nanna Foss, author of the acclaimed SPEKTRUM series. The workshop focuses on building fantasy worlds - how to write scenes and universes that captivate readers.
The programme alternates between short writing exercises and inspirational talks, with Nanna Foss sharing experiences from her own writing career. There will also be an opportunity to ask questions. Foss debuted with the first book in the SPEKTRUM series in 2014; the fifth book was published in January 2025, and the sixth is expected in autumn 2026. She graduated from the School of Children's Literature in 2016 and teaches writing at the School of Young Writers.
The workshop takes place in the library room at Nørrebro Library and lasts two hours. Participation is free but requires registration via Billetto. Bring writing materials, and you are welcome to bring your own computer or notebook - however, there is no possibility to charge devices during the workshop. Chairs will likely be arranged in cinema style, so a computer or tablet should be held in your lap, and paper and pen may be the practical choice.
The workshop is part of Copenhagen Libraries' series of writing workshops around the city. Questions can be sent to librarian Pia at piolss@kk.dk.
