Femicide in Denmark

Journalist, editor and award-winning author Line Vaaben has extensive knowledge of murders of women - particularly intimate partner homicides. In this lecture, she examines concrete cases, presents statistical data and explains the mechanisms behind the phenomenon, helping the audience understand both its complexity and gravity.

The lecture is based on two books: "A Predictable Crime", which she co-authored with forensic pathologist Asser Hedegaard Thomsen in 2022, and "Those We Trusted", which addresses the consequences for those left behind after the murder of psychologist Maria From Jakobsen.
