Literary Salon: Elif Shafak and The Rivers of Heaven

On Saturday, October 5, Sydhavnens Bibliotek hosts a literary salon featuring Turkish-British author Elif Shafak's latest novel "The Rivers of Heaven". The event is organized by Bogkurator, a literary initiative, and includes an introduction to Shafak's work, a reading from the novel, and an open conversation with the audience. No prior knowledge of the book or author is required.

The novel explores water, memory, and human connections across time and geography. Drawing on the rivers of Mesopotamia, the narrative follows destinies from different centuries and addresses questions of identity, belonging, migration, and cultural heritage.
