SHAKE

SHAKE plays old-school disco and funk on both analog and electronically programmed instruments. Two of the band's four members come from Grand Avenue, which has released four albums and a gold record.

The band has released two EPs: "THE CLUB" with a disco-oriented sound and the newer "CPH FUNK", which leans more toward funk and is a tribute to Copenhagen. The sound draws on nightclub music from the 1960s and 1970s - with artists like Earth, Wind & Fire, Kool & the Gang and Sly & The Family Stone as reference points.

"With 'THE CLUB' we got everyone on the dance floor," says frontman Rasmus Poulsen. "'CPH FUNK' is also dance-friendly, but it's more funk-oriented."
