LUNA SOUL (DE)

LUNA SOUL is a German-Spanish retro-pop band formed in 2019 by singer Lisa Michèle Lietz from Schwerin and guitarist, songwriter and producer Jordi Arnau Rubio from Barcelona. Their music blends disco grooves, warm analogue synthesizers and soulful vocals in a sound rooted in 1970s and 1980s aesthetics, within the framework of contemporary indie and disco pop.

Their debut album First Move was released in April 2025 on Légère Recordings, the Hamburg-based independent label home to artists like Young Gun Silver Fox, Joel Sarakula, Myles Sanko and Mamas Gun. The band has received airplay and coverage on Deutschlandfunk Kultur, Radio Eins, NDR and Bayern 2, and plays over 50 concerts a year in Germany, Spain, France, the Netherlands and Denmark.

Live, LUNA SOUL performs as a four- to six-piece band. The core lineup is Lisa Michèle Lietz (vocals), Jordi Arnau Rubio (guitar, vocals), Luis Arco Fernandez (bass) and Robinson Krüger (drums). At selected shows, the lineup is supplemented by Marcial Garzón on congas and a guest musician on keyboards.

The band's second studio album, Second Nature, is planned for autumn 2026. In support of the release, LUNA SOUL is touring on the Second Nature Tour in autumn and winter 2026/27.
