In week 34, Marionet Teatret presents the puppet show "Arnarulunnguaq - the great little woman" on the square in front of Tingbjerg Library & Cultural Centre.

The play is based on the true story of the Greenlandic woman who, 100 years ago, accompanied polar explorer Knud Rasmussen on one of history's longest sledge journeys. Her name means "The little woman", but she is stronger than most - with needle and thread as tools and a faithful sled dog at her side, she travels through snow, ice and magical spirit worlds. The performance is about courage, friendship and the forces of nature, is designed for children from 2 years old and lasts approximately 35 minutes.

Immediately after the performance, a creative workshop opens in the hall, run by Børnenes værksteder from SMK.

Performance times:
19-21 August (Wednesday-Friday): 9:30 and 10:30
22-23 August (Saturday-Sunday): 10 and 11

Admission is free and requires no registration for private visitors and smaller groups - just show up. Schools and daycare centres must register at i82a@kk.dk.
