Birgitte Zacho returns to Sønderborg Folkeuniversitet with a three-part lecture series on Spanish art. The lectures take place on 1 September, 8 September and 15 September 2026 from 15:45 to 18:15 at Alsion, Sønderborg - each lecture lasts 3 x 45 minutes.

The series begins with the 17th-century Seville School and its Caravaggio-inspired realism in painters such as Zurbarán, Ribera and Velázquez, continues with Goya's contemporary portraits in painting and printmaking, and concludes with Picasso, who in the 20th century reinterprets Spanish art history and rewrites the premises of art.
