Morgengry - Reading Aloud for Children

Nordisk Litteraturuge takes place every year in week 46, and Ribe Bibliotek participates with a reading aloud session for the youngest children. The concept is simple: the electric lights are turned off, candles are lit, and an adult reads aloud from a book.

While this happens here, thousands of children in libraries, schools and institutions across the Nordic countries and the Baltics listen to exactly the same story. Which book it is remains a surprise - but the author is always from one of the Nordic countries.

The event is for children aged 5-8 years.
