Where Music Grows (A Classical Life) Under the Open Sky | Scandinavian Cello School 10 Years

Experience the internationally acclaimed documentary film at the location where it was filmed. Audience award winner at Krakow Film Festival 2026, three sold-out premieres at CPH:DOX and broadcast on DR - with more international screenings to come. To celebrate Scandinavian Cello School's 10th anniversary, we invite you to a memorable late-summer day at Lund Havn, one of Denmark's oldest and most atmospheric harbours.

Expect live music, art and craft market with local artists, children's activities, food and drink, the grand 10th anniversary raffle, and a special outdoor screening of Where Music Grows (A Classical Life). You can also meet the volunteers behind Lund Havn, hear the story of the harbour, and learn about the vision to preserve and develop this unique cultural space for future generations.

About the film: Shot over five years on Stevns, the film follows a group of young international classical musicians at Scandinavian Cello School. Set among fields, animals and nature, it unfolds a touching story about ambition, friendship, mental wellbeing and the pursuit of the highest artistic quality. The film is in multiple languages with Danish subtitles.

Schedule:
16:00 - Harbour opens. Art and craft market with local artists, bouncy castle and face painting for children, food, drink and socialising.
17:30-18:15 & 19:00-19:45 - Live music. Concert with Dybfølt, Kira Martini and special guests & musicians from Where Music Grows (A Classical Life), followed by the grand 10th anniversary raffle draw.
20:00-22:00 - Outdoor film screening. Where Music Grows (Danish title: A Classical Life). The film is in multiple languages with Danish subtitles. Free entry - limited seating.
