What is beauty, and why does it move us? What happens in the brain when we look at a painting, listen to music, or follow a dancer with our eyes?
In this lecture, Andrea Moreno - artist and lecturer in neuroscience at Aarhus University - explores the brain's reactions to beauty and art, including symmetry, colour, pattern, and emotion. Is beauty biologically embedded in us, or does it lie solely in the eye of the beholder?
The lecture is held in English in Lille Sal.
Andrea Moreno's art can also be seen in the exhibition 'Art on the Brain' at Torvet, alongside other exhibitors from DANDRITE.
