Bare Spis Videre

TeaterSAPO's bombastic debut production reimagines Much Ado About Nothing as a critique of contemporary reality denial. The performance follows the privileged upper class and their self-created problems, using Shakespeare's comedy as a prism for how we ignore the world's horrors-war, climate crisis, global turmoil-by retreating into our own naive bubbles.

The production combines classical theatre with a physical arrangement that turns space, action, and audience expectations upside down. It is part of the H.C. Andersen Festival's "De Unge Mønsterbrydere" (Young Trailblazers) programme, which showcases emerging theatrical talent selected for their powerful and important narratives.
