Experience the iconic Palm House and Denmark's largest collection of rare plants from around the world on a guided tour through the Botanical Garden's history. The Botanical Garden celebrated its 150th anniversary in 2024 for its location on Nørrevold. The tour takes you through the romantic garden laid out in 1874 and into the famous Victorian Palm House, built with the founder of Carlsberg, J.C. Jacobsen, as its patron. The Botanical Garden is a living museum with roots stretching more than 400 years back in time. During the tour, the plant collection's history is told from past to present through the garden's many plants, with connections to collection, research, and education. As something special, the tour goes through the garden's conservation greenhouses with Seidenfaden's famous orchids and other rare plant collections, normally not accessible to the public. The ticket also includes free admission to one visit to the Palm House on the day of the tour within regular opening hours.

PRACTICAL INFORMATION
Duration: 1.5 hours. Guests: Up to 25 participants per tour. The tour is aimed at adults. Meeting point: Entrance via the main entrance to the Botanical Garden near Nørreport Station (Gothersgade 126). We meet in front of the Botanical Garden's shop. Show your ticket upon arrival. Accessibility: Wheelchair users unfortunately cannot participate in the tours at the Botanical Garden, as the route includes stairs in the protected Palm House and/or on the stone mounds in the garden. Terms of purchase: Under normal circumstances, it is not possible to exchange or refund tour tickets. Should the event be cancelled, you will receive direct notification by email from Billetto, and we will automatically refund the ticket price.
