No membership required. Learn the fundamentals of wheel-throwing, or if you're more experienced, explore advanced techniques. The course covers all basic techniques on the wheel - throwing bowls and cylinders, flat forms, throwing on a stick, and trimming and finishing. You'll also learn how to alter thrown pieces for different effects, and how to hand-build bowls, cups, and sushi plates without the wheel. Finally, we'll glaze the finished pieces and have them fired.

The course suits both beginners and those with some experience. Whether you've never tried the exciting and fascinating work of throwing clay, want to refine your technique (proper centering, throwing flanges, throwing lids), or prefer to work without the wheel - you'll find your place here. Instruction by Bjarne Christensen, an experienced and skilled potter trained at the Design School Kolding's Institute for Unique Works. He brings years of experience from his own studio and collaborations with renowned potters including Jesper Packness, Per Bo, and Gurli Elbækgård, and has worked and taught at Guldagergaard, the International Ceramic Center.

Price includes 3 kg of stoneware clay. Extra clay available for purchase.
