Forfatterspirerne Writing Club, Sundby Library

Forfatterspirernes Writing Club at Sundby Library is for young writers aged 11-15 who love storytelling and want to improve their craft. You will receive weekly instruction from authors Line Leonhardt and Palle Schmidt, meet other young writers with the same passion, and learn writing and drawing techniques, genres, and exercises. The teaching is inspiring, open, and welcoming.

The club meets every Monday from 16:30 to 18:30 at Sundby Library. The season runs from Monday, August 31 to December 7, with no classes during autumn break (week 42). You will receive a teaching plan at the start of the course. Some Mondays may be cancelled or extended to double sessions.

Forfatterspirernes Writing Club also meets at other libraries in Copenhagen on different fixed weekdays. Line Leonhardt graduated from the School of Children's Literature and has written numerous books for children and young adults across various genres, debuting in 2009 with the picture book "Noah's Ark II". She is also a trained primary school teacher with experience teaching writing at Forfatterspirernes and at the School of Writing in Ringsted. Palle Schmidt is an illustrator, comic artist, and author whose works include "A Part of Me", "Night Run", "In Another Life", and the acclaimed graphic novels "Blood's Concubine" and "STILETTO". He has many years of teaching experience at the School of Writing for Young People in Ringsted and with Forfatterspirernes.
