Open House at Johan Borups Højskole

Johan Borups Højskole hosts an open house on Tuesday, September 1st from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM for prospective students interested in starting at the folk high school. The school offers six artistic programmes: Theatre & Performing Arts, Documentary Film, Writing, Music, Architecture & Art, and Design. The address is Frederiksholms Kanal 24, 1220 Copenhagen K.

During the open house, you'll receive a welcome, information about the programmes, electives, second intake, and funding options, plus a guided tour. You'll meet staff, current students, and alumni - and you're welcome to bring a friend, parent, or neighbour.

At 6:00 PM there's a communal dinner, and from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM you can stay for evening singing in the school's main hall. The school has no student housing: Copenhagen residents live at home, while those relocating find accommodation in the city.

Practical information: If you're travelling from far away, the school covers transport costs up to 500 kr. with a receipt. The building is unfortunately not wheelchair accessible. If the date doesn't work, you can book a guided tour on another day.
