The Baroque Society opens the season at LiteraturHaus in Copenhagen on Friday, 4 September with the Late Night Baroque concert LUMIÈRES. The programme explores light in music through works by Marin Marais and Elisabeth Jaquet de la Guerre, featuring cellist and viola da gamba player Amarilis Dueñas as guest - her first appearance with the ensemble. The concert takes place in the former Bethania Church from 1892 on Nørrebro, where LiteraturHaus has hosted author evenings, lectures and cross-disciplinary events since 2005. The Baroque Society performs three times in Denmark this season, with further dates in Helsingør and Copenhagen later in the autumn. Tickets cost 200-250 kr.
