Borderline - A Complex and Misunderstood Diagnosis

Borderline personality disorder is characterized by intense emotional fluctuations, identity disturbance, and unstable relationships. People with the condition often struggle with inner turmoil and find it difficult to regulate emotions and maintain a stable sense of self.

Lead psychologist Rikke Bøye from the Clinic for Personality Disorders and Suicide Prevention at Aarhus University Hospital provides a nuanced introduction to the diagnosis. Drawing on research and clinical experience, she explores the psychological difficulties that characterize the condition, the underlying factors, and the treatment options available.
