First Aid for Babies & Toddlers
Kildevæld Kulturcenter, Copenhagen · 0 kr.
A practical first aid course for parents and caregivers, taught in English at Kildevæld Kulturcenter.
Learn how to help a baby or small child in an emergency. The instructor, a health professional, combines theory with hands-on practice using special infant CPR manikins. You'll work in small groups and learn through doing, not just listening.
The course covers the 4 steps of first aid, assessment of consciousness and breathing, CPR for babies and small children, recovery position, and when to call for help. You'll also learn to recognize choking and other airway blockages, signs of serious infection, how to handle falls, burns, poisoning, fever seizures, and bleeding wounds.
All participants receive an English first aid book. The course runs Thursday, September 10, 10:00-13:00 (3 hours including a short break) in Kultursalen, ground floor. Bring a yoga mat or similar. Babies aged 0-12 months can attend at no extra cost. The instructor recommends downloading the free QCPR app from Laerdal before the course.
