Description was written before the event

Frederiksberg Festspil opens with a chamber music evening featuring Stenhammar Quartet (string quartet) and Katrine Gislinge (piano). The programme explores Mozart's intimate and pure sound world that emerges in the meeting between piano and string quartet.

The programme consists of two Mozart works: String Quartet No. 15 in D minor, K. 421 (Allegro moderato, Andante, Menuetto and Trio: Allegretto, Allegretto ma non troppo) and Piano Concerto No. 12 in A major. At this concert, cellist Janne Fredens replaces Mats Olofsson in the string quartet.

Stenhammar Quartet is an award-winning Swedish ensemble. The concert takes place in the hall at La Oficina in Frederiksberg.

Frederiksberg Festspil runs 11-13 September 2026 and features jazz, classical music, literature, performing arts and dance. Read more at Frederiksbergfestspil.dk.
