Felt a Vest in Danish Wool

Over two days - November 14 and 15 - you will make your own felted vest from Danish wool. The course covers the entire process: you learn about wool and wet felting, create a template, card and lay out the wool, and finish the vest through felting. Along the way, there is room for your own design choices - hood, wrap-around cut, curled details, or checks. All materials are included in the price. The course runs 10-16 both days; bring a packed lunch for the shared lunch break.

At Hedestrik, they work with wool that would otherwise remain as a byproduct from Nordic sheep farmers. During the course, they tell you about sheep, wool quality, and how Danish wool can help solve the textile industry's challenges. Local wool and a dogma-free, rule-free approach is their answer to the commercial yarn and knitting world.
