Fatma Zidan

Fatma Zidan is led by the Egypt-born, Denmark-based singer and composer Fatma Zidan, who has made her mark on the international world music scene. The ensemble works at the intersection of classical Arabic musical traditions and contemporary expression, with improvisation as a core element.

The repertoire draws from Fatma Zidan's award-winning releases, which have received Danish Music Awards for Best World Track. Love, longing, and human connection are recurring themes in music that speaks across cultures and languages.

Fatma Zidan has performed at festivals and venues across Europe, North America, and Africa - including jazz, world music, and cultural festivals in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Canada, Greece, and Zanzibar.
