Viborg Cathedral - 150 Years of Fascinating History

The lecture, held by former boarding school principal Hans Jørgen Lysholm, traces the cathedral's history from the fire of 1726 through its reconstruction from 1864-76 to the present day. Along the way, there is a look at the cathedral's "sister churches" in Sweden and Germany, and the story of "The Great Banquet" from 1901 to 1965 - from Viborg to the Faroe Islands - also finds its place.

The lecture is accompanied by images of the church inside and out, as well as the creation of the frescoes, including portraits and details that are normally overlooked. Doors open at 14:00.
