Become Fluent in Scalgo Live

This two-day course teaches you to map how rainwater moves through an area, assess flood risk, and explore landscape-based stormwater management solutions. You'll work with concrete solutions in Scalgo Live - rain gardens, ditches, and retention basins - and test their effectiveness under normal rainfall and extreme storms.

The course is for professionals working in urban planning, area renewal, urban development, landscape design, recreational areas, climate adaptation, or municipal approval. Both beginners and experienced Scalgo Live users can participate. The focus is on urban areas, but the knowledge and tools also apply to coastal protection, emergency preparedness, and habitat restoration.

Day 1 - Scalgo Live Fundamentals: Navigation of national geodata (elevation models, contour lines, land cover, soil types, hydrological adjustments, secondary groundwater, etc.), understanding Scalgo's analyses of water on terrain (depressions, cloudbursts maps with and without infiltration, flow paths and hydrodynamic simulations), plus group and individual exercises.

Day 2 - Advanced Scalgo Live: Creating work areas, editing terrain, land cover and runoff, plus time to practice all tools on your own project area or prepared typical cases.

The programme runs both days 9:00-16:00 with opportunity for questions before and after. Bring a laptop with an updated browser and an external mouse. If your workplace doesn't have a Scalgo Live subscription, you'll receive a free 30-day trial with the course.

The price includes light breakfast, lunch, afternoon cake, and coffee/tea, water and fruit throughout the day - but not accommodation or dinner.
