Workshop: Freeform Knitting with Flowers and Leaves

This workshop is for knitters who want to explore new techniques. Through freeform knitting, we work with increases and decreases as well as cable needles to create flowers and leaves. We start with small patterns and then continue without a pattern, giving creativity room to flourish.

In freeform, you sew smaller knitted pieces together to create a personal expression of colors and patterns - we'll cover that too. The goal is for each participant to go home with a motif of flowers and leaves where all the techniques have been applied. Yarn in many colors is provided, and you'll have the chance to photograph the small knitting patterns so you can continue working with the techniques at home.

Bring your own: 4 needles in 4 mm and 1 short circular needle in 4 mm.

The instructor is Signe Riisom, who learned to knit at age 6. From 2017, she began focusing on knitting art and freeform techniques, which characterize her work today.
