Workshop: Tunisian Crochet with Kammp Design

A three-hour immersion in Tunisian crochet - also called hakning - a technique that combines knitting and crochet, opening up a wide range of structures and patterns.

Prerequisite: you should already be familiar with Tunisian knit and purl stitches. During the workshop, you will work on crocheting in pattern, reading diagrams, increases and decreases, and assembly, with focus on both technique and aesthetics. The techniques covered are also featured in the instructor's book "Tunisian Crochet for All Seasons". The course includes yarn, course materials, loan of one double-ended crochet hook (6 mm) and one zipper. You should bring 8 stitch markers and one tapestry needle.

Instructor is Helle Kampp Mathorne, trained craft teacher from Hellerup Craft Seminar. Since 2015 she has designed, graded and written patterns in knitting, crochet and hakning for Burda International Nordic (Alt om Håndarbejde) and currently works as a freelance crochet designer for Filcolana.
