Workshop: Crossing Stitches

In this workshop, Thea from VesterbyCrea teaches the technique behind crossing stitches - a pattern used in many of VesterbyCrea's designs that can be applied to socks, sweaters, hats, scarves and much more.

The programme covers how to knit the crossing pattern back and forth, how to work increases and decreases within the pattern, and how to vary the pattern itself. You will receive a manual to guide your first knitting swatch. Bring your own yarn for the swatch, circular needles in 3 mm or 4 mm, and stitch markers.

Thea established VesterbyCrea on 1 August 2023 after leaving a 20-year full-time job to work exclusively with knit design. She handles everything from web development and accounting to graphics, translations and design development, and she knits all her designs from start to finish. A test-knitting team helps ensure that the patterns are knitted in all sizes and that the instructions are clear.
