MOURIR (FR) + Iffernet (FR)
Råhuset, Copenhagen · 100 kr. · ≈ 13 €
Two French black metal acts, MOURIR and IFFERNET, meet for an evening at Råhuset. Both bands operate within the French underground's most uncompromising corner.
MOURIR began as a solo project by Olivier L., former bassist in Plebeian Grandstand, and has since grown into a quartet with members from BRUIT ≤, Toucan and Drawers. The band moves between black metal, sludge and post-metal, characterized by the dissonant sound that defines the French underground scene. On 10 July 2026 they release their second album, Nous, le venin, via Pelagic Records - six tracks with violent guitar layers, heavy rhythms and piercing vocals. Thematically the album circles around alienation and meaninglessness, broken by melodic passages. In connection with the release the band plays a series of European festivals, including Hellfest, Resurrection Fest, Soulcrusher and Rock in Bourlon.
IFFERNET was formed in Rouen in 2018 and works with black metal in its most basic form: guitar, drums and vocals. The duo has toured widely across Europe with concerts in Copenhagen, Berlin, Warsaw, Zagreb and Budapest, performed as part of Roadburn Festival's off-program and twice at the Icelandic Nordanpaunk Festival. They have shared the stage with names such as Turia, Sunken, Trespasser, Dolpo and Aerial Ruin. On 20 March 2026 their third full-length album was released via Vendetta Records (DE), Breathe Plastic (NL), Fiadh Productions (US) and La Harelle Collective (FR).
