IFFERNET & MOURIR (FR)
French post-rock and experimental music with the duo Iffernet and the band MOURIR at 1000FRYD in Aalborg.
Mourir are a black metal quartet from Toulouse, France, formed in 2019 when Olivier Lolmède - then bassist in Plebeian Grandstand - expanded his one-man project Vermine into a full band. Their sound pulls black metal into contact with sludge, screamo and post-metal, and their catalogue spans two albums and an EP across Throatruiner Records and Pelagic Records. Second album *Nous, le venin* (Pelagic Records, July 2026) has drawn wide critical attention in the international extreme metal press.
Mourir released their second album *Nous, le venin* on July 10, 2026 via Pelagic Records - six tracks recorded in January 2026 with producer Amaury Sauvé at The Apiary Studio in Laval.
The band shared the single 'Feu d'un Regard' and a live session video as a lead-up to the album release.
Mourir announced *Nous, le venin* and confirmed festival appearances at Hellfest, Rock In Bourlon and Resurrection Fest in Europe.
The EP *Insolence* was released in January 2025 on Pelagic Records - the band's first release on the Berlin-based label.
The band changed bassist and recorded the experimental EP *Insolence*, and simultaneously joined Pelagic Records' roster.
