Description was written before the event

Christina Dahl Quartet brings four strong musical personalities together around Christina Dahl's own compositions. The quartet works in a field where the written and the improvised flow together - with great freedom and a clear ability to listen to each other.

The four musicians take turns stepping forward as soloists, but always with an eye on the whole. The interplay is carried by presence and trust, and the structure leaves room for spontaneity rather than limiting it.

Christina Dahl received the award "Inspirator of the Year" from the Beckett Foundation at the Tivoli Jazz Prize - JazzDanmark in 2024.

Line up: Christina Dahl (saxophone and composition), Nicklas Knudsen (guitar), Nils Davidsen (bass), Espen Laub (drums).
