Vienna Concert with Harmoniorkestret TONICA Aarhus

Harmoniorkestret TONICA Aarhus presents a Vienna concert at Festsalen in Aarhus Town Hall, conducted by Jørgen Fuglebæk with soprano Charlotte Hjørringgaard Larsen as soloist.

Jørgen Fuglebæk studied at the Royal Academy of Music and is an experienced conductor and teacher specializing in Vienna repertoire. Charlotte Hjørringgaard Larsen studied at the North Jutland Music Conservatory and the Royal College of Music in Stockholm. She has performed a wide range of opera roles and in summer productions - including Gilda in "Rigoletto", Xenia in "Boris Godunov", Blondchen in "The Abduction from the Seraglio", Maria in "The Sound of Music", and Eliza Doolittle in "My Fair Lady". She has appeared as soloist with the Aalborg Symphony Orchestra on several occasions and was a permanent singer in the vocal ensemble at St. Stephen's Cathedral in Vienna from 2019 to 2022. In 2017 she was named Artist of the Year at Egnsteatret Undergrunden.

The programme features music by Robert Stoltz, H.C. Lumbye, O. Nicolai, and the Strauss family. The Ballet Academy contributes with choreography, including Joseph Strauss' "Sphärenklänge". The concert is arranged by Harmoniorkestret TONICA Aarhus.
