KaniBalkan at Union

KaniBalkan is a trio rooted in Roma music and Balkan traditions, blending traditional songs with original compositions - layered with desert guitar, Latin American grooves, and infectious rhythms. They are celebrating the release of their debut EP with a concert at Union.

The EP is titled Live Momentum and comes out in autumn 2026. It was recorded over two concert evenings at Teater Momentum in Odense and captures the trio's live energy and the close interplay between musicians and audience. The first single is Alim Kokoriko Bijav - a song about walking alone through the night with no one to dance with, driven by hypnotic rhythms and a blend of melancholy and joy.

The band consists of Gunni Torp (vocals, harmonica, alto saxophone), Simon Hebeltoft Hansen (vocals, guitar) and Juan Pino (percussion).

Doors open at 19:00, concert starts at 20:00. Advance tickets cost 100 kr., door price 150 kr. The concert is standing-room only and takes place on the 1st floor of Union - there is no elevator.
