Folk High School Afternoon - Principal Pia Østergaard

Director Pia Østergaard from Friplejehjemmet Sct. Kjeldsgården draws on everyday life at the care home to speak about living with dementia - the emotional and relational changes, and what it means to move into residential care. This applies both to those affected and their loved ones.

Through the metaphor "the journey from earth to the moon," she paints a picture of how someone with dementia experiences the world and the task of creating the best possible journey, grounded in compassion, respect, and care.
