TEATERMAGI: DANCING WITH THE DEAD by BOBBY LO
Multihallen, Copenhagen · 0 kr.
DANCING WITH THE DEAD is a dance performance by Bobbi Lo Produktion for upper primary school students and children from age 10. The performance explores the mystery of death and the depths of grief through colourful costumes, music and expressive choreography - and involves the audience as active participants throughout.
Choreography and direction: Lava Markusson and Michael Tang. Composer: Hans-Ole Amossen. Costume designer: Åsa Gjerstad. Lighting design: Tanya Johansson. Dancers: Mikkel Alexander Tøttrup, Lava Markusson, George Pelagias, Elena Nielsen and Michael Tang.
Kirsten Dahl, Teateravisen, writes: "Tactile, kinesthetic, sensory, vulnerable, strong, light and heavy at the same time [...] The performance may [...] feel boundary-pushing for some. At the same time, the expression in all aspects is so artistically refined, so physically sensory powerful and so gentle in its voluntary audience participation, that it will certainly be enriching for children from age 10."
The performance is part of the Teatermagi festival during the autumn half-term (week 42), which brings children's theatre to cultural centres and libraries in Østerbro, Vesterbro, Amager, Nørrebro, Vanløse, Valby, Indre By, Brønshøj-Husum, Sydhavnen, Bispebjerg and Tingbjerg.
