Dementia and Alzheimer's

Can a blood test reveal Alzheimer's long before the first symptoms appear? How can lifestyle help prevent dementia? And what treatment options exist today - and in the future?

Around 100,000 people over 65 in Denmark live with dementia, and Alzheimer's is by far the most common cause. Many relatives are also affected by the significant human and social consequences the disease brings.

Niels Okkels, physician and lecturer in dementia research at Aarhus University, and Rikke Gregersen, senior researcher at the Research Centre for Prevention and Rehabilitation at VIA University College, present the latest research in early diagnosis, treatment and prevention. They explore how medical advances and knowledge about lifestyle, daily life and social activity can strengthen brain health throughout life. The conversation is moderated by journalist Louise Sloth.
