Marko Hietala [FI]

Marko Hietala performs at Stengade on October 16. Hietala is known as a founding member of the heavy metal band Tarot, as a member of the supergroup Sinergy - featuring Alexi Laiho among others - and as one of the key figures in Nightwish. His bass and vocals have been heard in venues such as Wembley Arena and at festivals like Rock in Rio.

Beyond music, he recently appeared in the Finnish TV series "Vain elämää", which has attracted millions of viewers in Finland. His first solo album, Mustan sydämen rovio, was released in spring 2019 and later reissued in English as Pyre of the Black Heart. The follow-up Roses from the Deep came out in February 2025.
