On the Terrain of Feelings - Alda Mohr Eyðunardóttir and Helene Nymann in Conversation — Nordatlantens Brygge, Copenhagen

The artists Alda Mohr Eyðunardóttir and Helene Nymann meet with art historian Anna Vestergaard Jørgensen for a conversation about their artistic practice and the ideas behind the exhibition "On the Terrain of Feelings". The conversation is in Danish and lasts approximately 60 minutes including questions. The hall opens 30 minutes before the start, and seating is unreserved. The ticket also grants access to the venue's other exhibitions.

In the exhibition, Faroese artist Alda Mohr Eyðunardóttir and Danish artist Helene Nymann present installations that explore personal and collective memory. Through movement, shifts in perspective, and participation, they invite the audience to navigate a terrain of memories, feelings, and experiences - where absence does not appear as emptiness, but as something that continues to shape people, relationships, and places. Their work with transparent materials and fragmented, subjective narrative structures reflects the logic of memory itself.

Alda Mohr Eyðunardóttir graduated from the Royal Danish Academy's School of Visual Arts in 2025 and has exhibited in the Faroe Islands, Denmark, Iceland, Finland, and the USA. She has worked collectively on Faroese and Arctic projects focused on art and activism, and is represented in the Faroe Islands National Gallery. For this exhibition, she has written the article "An Attempt at Not Writing in Parentheses" (p. 20, available online).

Helene Nymann holds a practice-based PhD and has presented works at institutions including the New Museum, Pioneer Works, and Fridman Gallery in New York, Kunsthal Charlottenborg, ARoS and Kunsthal Aarhus, MACRO in Rome, Tate Modern in London, and Neue Nationalgalerie in Berlin. For this exhibition, she has written the article "How Far Did She See?" (p. 28, available online).

Anna Vestergaard Jørgensen is an art historian who has been affiliated with SMK as a researcher since 2017. She has worked on the role of national galleries in the Nordic region and the North Atlantic, as well as transnational connections between Greenlandic, Danish, and Faroese art.
