Community Dinner and Lecture
A-Huset, Salen, Copenhagen · 40 kr. · ≈ 5 €
Foreningen Liv I Sundby hosts an evening of community dining and a lecture. The meal - prepared by local volunteers using sustainable ingredients - is served at 17:50, and the lecture begins around 19:30.
Ingrid Slott shares the story of her family of resistance fighters. During the Nazi occupation, their home in Brønshøj served as a refuge for resistance fighters and Jews. Her father joined the resistance in 1942, while her mother ran a household that provided shelter and food to people fleeing the Germans. Though young, Ingrid was brought into the secret; she received strict orders to keep quiet with her schoolmates and helped however she could.
The meal costs 40 kr. The lecture is free. Liv I Sundby's full programme is available at www.livisundby.dk
