The award-winning bassist Richard Andersson's Danish/Icelandic trio NOR has performed over 100 concerts across Scandinavia in the past 10 years. For this concert, they present a new collaboration with trumpeter Anne Efternøler, whose personal expression and poetic narrative voice takes the trio in new directions. Besides Andersson, NOR features saxophonist Oskar Gudjonsson (ADHD, Jakob Bro, Mezzoforte and others) and drummer Matthias Hemstock.

The trio debuted in 2017 with the album Nor, followed by The Six of Us in 2018 - both received positively by Danish and international media. In 2023, the Danish Music Awards Jazz-nominated album Undo was released, featuring Hilmar Jensson on guitar.

Ocean Fanfare

Ocean Fanfare is a Danish-Polish quartet consisting of trumpeter Tomasz Dąbrowski, saxophonist Sven Dam Meinild, bassist Richard Andersson and drummer Peter Bruun. Since 2012, the group has worked with open, improvisation-based music and developed a distinctive collective expression.

For the Spil Dansk concert at H15, they present music from the forthcoming album Third Nature - Temporal Polyphony, released June 12, 2026 - the third and final chapter in their Nature Trilogy. The album is inspired by Anna Lowenhaupt Tsing's book The Mushroom at the End of the World and her concept of 'temporal polyphony'. The quartet alternates between precise, tightly aligned phrases and more textural, diffuse playing, with a rhythmic foundation that moves from anchored swing to open, momentum-driven passages.
