SPAWNER

Spawner is an indie rock trio made up of Ella Moreno Risell, Johan Danø Hoffmann, and Jonas Engell. In 2025, they released three singles and their debut album Air is Getting Stranger, which has received praise from both Danish and international reviewers. The single "Air is Getting Stranger" was highlighted by CLASH Magazine, and Gaffa describes the album as follows: "Spawner belongs to the genre of indie bands that can make you hallucinate an extra member. Although the music on their debut album, Air is Getting Stranger, often consists of shimmering guitar landscapes, thundering drums, and ethereal vocal harmonies, there are only three musicians in the band."

Gaffa adds: "But like the best shoegaze-inspired indie groups, it is really the strong songwriting behind the resonant amplifier noise that makes the album a successful launch."

Throughout November, the band was under special attention on P6Beat under the title 'P6Beat follows', which gave them significant airplay and radio time. The band describes the project themselves as an exploration of how to create a shared fourth voice through three voices - an exploration that unfolds as tight vocal harmonies, folk and country undertones, and winds between punk- and grunge-inspired riffs.
