Jonas Engell is a Danish musician and a member of the Copenhagen indie rock trio Spawner, alongside Ella Moreno Risell and Johan Danø Hoffmann. The band's debut album 'Air is Getting Stranger' (October 2025) earned a four-star review from Gaffa and praise from the UK's CLASH Magazine. Their sound combines close vocal harmonies rooted in folk and country with guitar textures that veer between shoegaze, punk and grunge.
Spawner made their debut at Roskilde Festival on the Lagune stage and played, among other things, the brand new single "High Life".
