War, Catastrophes and Prepping - Crises in the Archive

This guided tour through the closed storage vaults of the archive explores sources on crises, catastrophes and emergency preparedness in Copenhagen over more than 300 years. Citizens and city authorities have for centuries had to contend with wars, fires, sieges and epidemics - in other words, prepping is not a new phenomenon in the city's history.

Along the way, we also examine the crises that were so severe that the archive's own collections were at risk.
