Admeta String Quartet is an Aarhus-based string quartet formed by Freja Guldberg Larsen and Selma Trammitzke Milling (violins), Kirsten Buus Szakacs (viola) and Maria Kolby Sonstad (cello), who met while studying at the Royal Academy of Music in Aarhus. Their repertoire ranges from classical chamber music and Nordic folk music to contemporary and rhythmic styles, and they have recorded film music alongside collaborations with artists such as kora player Dawda Jobarteh and guitarist Sune Pors. The partnership with Jobarteh produced the album 'Soaring Wild Lands' (2022, Sterns Music), on which the quartet's strings feature throughout. In November 2025 a concert by the quartet was broadcast on Danish public radio DR P2.
The quartet's concert from Skørping, with a program consisting of folk music, Amy Beach and Schubert's 'Death and the Maiden', was broadcast on DR P2 on November 12, 2025.
