Allan Aasbjerg plays guitar and banjo and sings in Scrumpy, a Danish folk band that has performed traditional Irish and Scottish music - reels, jigs and hornpipes - since its first gig in autumn 1976. He has been part of the group through its long run, while working by day as a researcher at the Technical University of Denmark. Scrumpy is known for its many "farewell concerts", now numbering past 120.
