Ann-Louise Bergström

About

Ann-Louise Bergström is a half-Danish, half-Swedish human biologist with a PhD in neuroscience, and the founder of Moving Science, a studio specialising in scientific animations and illustrations. In December 2025 she published *Matilda-effekten* (The Matilda Effect) with FADLs Forlag - a fully hand-drawn graphic novel about four female polio researchers whose contributions were overlooked by history. The title refers to the documented tendency for women and lesser-known scientists to be denied credit for their discoveries.
