She leads the quartet Anne Efternøler & Lige Børn, whose unusual lineup - trumpet plus three double basses - has earned her recognition as one of the most inventive voices in Nordic jazz. Her 2022 debut album was nominated for a Danish Music Award and named one of the year's best Danish jazz records by JazzNyt. A second quartet album, Brugskunst, followed in May 2025, and in February 2026 she released a trio album on the American label Relative Pitch Records.
