Asser Amdisen (born 1972) is a Danish historian, author and public speaker specialising in 18th-century intellectual history. He has worked as a museum curator, folk high school principal and director of the training ship Georg Stage (2012-2026). Since 2017 he has been the resident historian on DR P3, where his one-minute history segments went viral with over two million views, and from October 2025 he hosts the weekly DR P1 programme "Kampen om historien".
Asser Amdisen took over in October 2025 the role as host of DR P1's weekly program "Kampen om historien", which is also released as a podcast.
In June 2025, Amdisen's book "Grundtvig - visioner og vanvid" was published by Lindhardt & Ringhof as hardback, e-book and audiobook.
Asser Amdisen resigned in January 2026 as director of Stiftelsen Georg Stages Minde after 13 years in the position.
